PREMIER DIVISION

As the season nears an end it’s the relegation candidates at the foot of the Waterworld Premier Division that is proving more uncertain than Little Stoke’s hunt for the title, as they move away with a 39-point lead at the top.

Little Stoke faced a struggling Moddershall side, and Daniel Colclough (5-33) and Shabir Ahmed (3-35) tore through their line-up, dismissing them for 86, of which opener Hamza Siddique scored 50.
Little Stoke chased the runs in a professional manner as they cruised to a nine-wicket win with Richard Adams (40 not out) and Greg Massingham (29 not out) leading them home.

Stone beat second-placed Burslem to move well clear of the relegation mire. Shaun Jenkinson hit 83 in Stone’s total of 168 with Samiullah Khan taking 5-89. In reply, all the Stone bowlers chipped in through Matt Stupples (3-26) and two wickets apiece from Johanthan McCredie (2-26), Andrew Winfield (2-25) and Michael Tudehope (2-19) as Burslem fell for 109.

Hem Heath couldn’t record the win they needed for guaranteed survival against their rivals Longton.
Will Purser hit 63 with support from Phil Adams (31) and Ben Lucas (25) in their sides 166. Stephen Atkinson (3-27) and Qasier Abbas (4-43) were the pick of the Hem Heath attack.
And it was Purser who starred with the ball, taking 7-26 as Hem Heath were rolled for 45, with John Seabridge top scoring on 17.

Porthill Park did record a well-needed win over Wood Lane to ensure they stay in next year’s top flight cricket.
Mark Bengry claimed 6-44 as Porthill dismissed Wood Lane for 110, chasing 147-7. Only Ashar Zaidi provided any resistance for the home side as he hit 48.
Earlier, scores from David Cotton (39) and Sohail Zaroof (30) helped Porthill to the winning total.

Knypersley edged a winning draw away from Elworth to keep them in trouble at the foot of the table.
Ben McGuire hit a swashbuckling 87 including four boundaries and four maximums. He had good support from Paul Goodwin (46) in their side’s total of 177-7. Yasir Ali was the pick of the Elworth attack taking 4-37.
In reply, Ali hit an unbeaten 37 but lacked support as they closed on 120-7, a handful of runs short of claiming the extra five points.

Audley dominated their match against Barlaston and were rewarded with a winning draw.
Sean Price hit an unbeaten 63 and scores from Richard Holloway (35), Michael Longmore (40) and Roger Sillence (31) helped them to a commanding 185-4.
Ben Grange hit 32 in Barlaston reply but their middle order collapsed thanks to Craig Barker (3-16) which dented any hopes of a run chase as they closed on 117-7.

DIVISION ONE

Leek head towards the 400-point mark with another win against Stafford.
Teenagers Alex Mellor (77) and Alex Thompson (95) steered Leek to a commanding 219-4 declared before the bowlers dismissed Stafford for 163.
Colin Dearden (5-17) mopped up the latter Stafford batsmen as only Dave Foster (36) and Joe Askey (30) provided much resistance.

Sandyford cruised to a perfect 10-wicket win over Betley.
James Pringle took 4-22 with two wickets apiece from Andrew Barnett (2-20), Sohail Rauf (2-27) and Neil Silkcorn (2-11) as Betley were rolled for 69.
Sandyford’s openers then took a mere eight overs to reach the total through Stephen Shemilt (20 not out) and Craig Leese (50 not out).

Chasing promotion behind Sandyford are Meir Heath, and not to be outdone themselves they also recorded their own 10-wicket win over Blythe.
Nick Locker (3-21) and Rich Brough (3-10) took three wickets apiece and teenager Adam Birch (2-24) provided support as Blythe were 90 all out.
The chase was all over after 11.3 overs thanks to Richard Stonier (54 not out) and Billy Locker (27 not out).

Cheadle’s Chris Barker bowled Leycett over as they claimed a well-needed win.
Vishal Tripathi, a former Lancashire 2XI player who is now at Northants, top scored with 79 in Cheadle’s 201-9 before Barker’s 6-38 dismissed Leycett for 90.

Whitmore’s Irfan Fazil took 7-46 as they beat Oulton batting first.
Only Harish Patel (40) stood his ground for Oulton as they were dismissed for 110, chasing 157 for victory.
Earlier, Justin Mould’s unbeaten 50 alongside Andrew Whitehead (29) helped Whitmore to a winning total.

Rode Park & Lawton’s Amal Athulathmudali produced a match-winning bat and ball performance to almost single-handedly beat Norton.
Athulathmudali hit 96 in Rode Park’s total of 166. The total was restricted due to excellent bowling from Ian Reynolds (7-44).
But not to be outstaged Athulathmudali produced his own seven-wicket haul to claim 7-49 and dismiss Norton for 141, Josh Graham (58) and Matt Rogalski (32) the main contributors.

DIVISION TWO

Weston sealed their place in Division One next year after a win over Caverswall.
Caverswall batted first, posting 189 thanks to scores from Josh Edge (32) and John Cookson (35). Chris Barrat (4-20) was the pick of the Weston attack.
In reply, Raj Kumar’s unbeaten 89 alongside Phil Stockton’s 54 not out helped the steer Weston over the line to a seven wicket win.

Ashcombe Park keeps their promotion hopes alive after a winning draw against Checkley.
Checkley posted 127-7 thanks to scores from the majority of the line-up, Jason Brown top scoring with 21 not out. Andrew Jones (3-37) and Nathan Ball (3-30) were the pick of the Park attack.
Park’s reply revolved around Dave Proffitt who hit an unbeaten 55 but saw his side falling around him, as they were left to hold on in the end having been 53-8 to finish on 111-8.

Crewe beat Newcastle & Hartshill in a match where only 126 runs were scored.
Crewe hit 67 with Shazad Rana hitting 25. Andrew Keates took 6-40 for Newcastle and they look to pick themselves out of the relegation mire.
And all looked pretty at 20-1 but Crewe’s openers Rana (6-27) and Kimany Gregoire (4-27) tore through the rest of the pack to roll Newcastle for 59.

Mitchell Stokes claimed 7-30 as Silverdale beat Wedgwood & Stanfields by 165 runs.
Silverdale batted first posting 219-3 thanks to Adam Michelson (69 not out) and Stephen Jones (107 not out). Stokes then polished off the job in hand as Wedgwood could only muster 54 all out.

Moddershall ‘A’s professional Ijaz Ahmed produced a match-winning bat and ball display to help them to victory over Kidsgrove.
Ahmed bowled unchanged to claim 7-75 in Kidsgrove total of 135. Dave Follett (45) and Elliot Maginnis (32) were the main contributors.
Ahmed then hit 60 opening the batting for Moddershall, and when he was out on 112-3 they collapsed briefly but Sam Moores (27 not out) kept a cool head as they finished on 136-7.

Meakins completed a comfortable six-wicket win over Alsager.
Ranil Dhammika claimed 5-37 from his 22 over spell as Alsager posted 118-9 having recovered from 69-8 thanks to Paul Tibbetts (38 not out).
And Dhammika hit an unbeaten 36 in reply as Meakins cruised over the winning line.

DIVISION THREE

Bignall End sealed their promotion to Division Two with a winning draw over second-placed Bagnall.
Bagnall’s Kashif Daud claimed 7-46 as Bignall End were 98 all out, the first time this season they have been dismissed for under 100, openers Kim Barnett (33) and Simon Howle (28) the main contributors.
But in reply, David Moreton took 6-33 to put Bagnall on the back foot as they clung on for the draw at 66-8.

Stone SP moved into third place with a win over Woore.
Ramesh Gunalan hit 42 as he top scored in Woore’s total of 128. Matthew Mee was the pick of the Stone attack claiming 5-35.
In reply, Phil Fitzherbet hit 35 and Stephen Aston (34) supported nicely as they creeped over the line to record a three-wicket win.

Eccleshall completed a comfortable win over Endon and hit the highest score of the day.
They posted 241-6 declared thanks to Robert Lakin’s 85 and an unbeaten 115 from Jack Boulton.
Endon were then dismissed for 106 in reply with Australian Richie Gallichan claiming 5-29.

Meir Heath/Fenton claimed a four-wicket win over Hem Heath/Forsbrook.
Hem Heath were dismissed for 103 with all the Meir Heath/Fenton bowlers chipping in. Darren Weston was the main contributor for Hem Heath, hitting 41.
And in reply, Chris Mellor’s unbeaten 51 put the game to bed with Hem Heath bowlers Ataur Rehman (2-37), Mark Rushton (2-51) and Callum Lovatt (2-6) taking two wickets apiece.

Oakamoor were left to settle with a winning draw in their match with Hanford.
Muhammad Ayub hit 82 and Matthew Carnwell scored an unbeaten 42 late on in their total of 186-5 declared.
In reply, Roger Davis hit 43 but lacked support as they closed on 130-7 with Steve Gilbert (3-18) and Ayub (3-17) the pick of the bowlers.

Wootton completed a convincing win over bottom-of-the-table Porthill Park ‘A’.
Wootton posted 221-8 thanks to Simon Barker (66), Clem Mellor (40) and Simon Little (35).
And in reply, James Carr took 4-18 to tear through Porthill’s top order as they crumbled to a disappointing 107 all out, with Chris Johnson left stranded on 31 not out.

PREMIER DIVISION

Moddershall have dropped into the bottom two after a crushing 157-run defeat to Stone.

Shaun Jenkinson (90), Richard Harvey (72) and Phil Cheadle (37 not out) helped Stone to 255-3.

And after Andrew Winfield (2-18) took the wickets of both openers with only 29 on the board, the chase was always in jepardy.

Matt Stupples (4-17) tore through the heart of the Moddershall line-up and Michael Tudehope (2-12) polished off the tail to bowl the visitors out for 98.

 

Porthill eased their relegation worries after a crucial win to fellow strugglers Hem Heath.

David Cotton’s men bowled Hem Heath out for 130 thanks to Worcestershire pace man Gareth Andrew (4-36) and Mark Bengry (2-40). Brian Sims top scored for the home side with 22.

In reply, Porthill’s professional Saeed Anwar hit a classy 60 not out as he steered his side over the winning line for their fourth win of the season. Qasier Abbas (3-32) was the pick of the Hem Heath attack in his 13th-over spell.

 

Elworth have recorded their third-successive win in a gritty run chase against Barlaston.

Barlaston batted first and were reduced to 75-6 before Richard Sharpe (40 not out) and Jack Davies (31 not out) helped their side up to a respectable 150-6.

But Pete Barnett (36), Chris Regan (33 not out) and David Toft (30) ensured another Elworth win as they close in on the other relegation-threatened sides.

 

Shabir Ahmed took 6-39 as Little Stoke dismissed Audley for 115.

But his efforts were in vain as they were rolled for 96 in reply with skipper Gareth Morris stranded at the other end on 35.

Roger Sillence was the pick of the Audley attack taking 5-31, with support from Richard Holloway (2-8) and Andrew Johnson (2-31).

 

Knypersley’s Nayyer Abbas claimed 5-36 as they bowled Burslem out for 95, chasing 172-9.

Abbas received help from Rob James (4-30) as they completed the 77-run win in the 33rd over, to soar into third spot.

Earlier, Paul Goodwin’s 75 was the mainstay to Knypersley’s total. Burslem’s Samiullah Khan took his wicket tally to 59 as he claimed 5-59.

 

Wood Lane’s Mustafa Bashir took 6-36 to skittle Longton for 114, chasing 184-8.

Bashir bowled openers James Towle (none) and Pete Wilshaw (12) before tearing through Longton’s middle order.

Earlier, Ashar Zaidi hit 47 alongside good knocks from Jeff Maynard (40) and Richard Hassall (23).

 

DIVISION ONE

Leek suffered their second loss of the campaign to Leycett after veteran seamer Richard White produced a match-winning display.

White claimed 6-31 on a damp track with support from Muhammad Khalil (3-34) as they bowled Leek out for 84, chasing 117.

Earlier, Leek would have thought they were on course for another victory after Greg Willott (3-31) and Paul Hammersley (4-29) reduced the visitors to 117.

 

Sandyford’s Andy Barnett claimed match-winning figures of 7-43, including a hat-trick, as he helped roll over Cheadle for only 95, chasing 172.

Shaun Rashid took an impressive 5-30 but Sohail Rauf’s crucial 52 in Sandyford’s innings ensured they posted a gritty total, and keeps the pressure on Meir Heath.

 

Billy Locker’s determined knock rescued Meir Heath after they were staring down at defeat against Betley.

Meir Heath would have fancied their chances at the change of innings after Richard Brough claimed 5-31 to dismiss Betley for 103.

But Betley refused to back down and Adrian Butler’s 4-39 put Meir Heath on the back foot. But Locker’s 45 was the mainstay of the Meir Heath innings as they completed the nail-biting two-wicket win in the 41st over.

 

Rode Park & Lawton’s Ryan Jones claimed 5-22 as they rolled Whitmore for 99.

Whitmore’s total could have been even more disappointing if it wasn’t for professional Muhammad Fazil’s efforts, as he hit 57.

But Rode Park made no mistake in reaching the target, losing only three wickets.

 

Stafford beat an in-form Blythe side to leave skipper Peter Finch slightly red-faced after describing this match as a “guaranteed win” to the Post & Times.

Blythe batted first, posting 202 thanks to Martin Bailey (54) and Craig Grimley (38). Shawn Hunt was the pick of the Stafford bowlers, taking 5-49.

Stafford lost early wickets in reply through Azhar Shafique’s 5-34. But the middle order held firm and Guy Seaton (77 not out) kept a cool head to see his side home with an over spare.

 

Oulton’s Harish Patel and Pradeep Jayaprakashdaran bowled their side to victory in a low scoring affair with Norton.

Patel (5-31) and Jayaprakashdaran (5-30) took five wickets each as they bowled Norton out for 66, chasing 101.

Norton bowlers also created problems earlier with Tony Dutton (3-13) and Simon Davies (3-30) as Oulton’s Melvyn Dawson (23) became the only batsman to score over 20 for the day.

 

DIVISION TWO

Caverswall produced a classy win to stun an Ashcombe Park side who went into the game with five-successive wins.

Caverswall’s batsman posted 148 and kept the prolific Mohammad Junaid Khan quiet, who took 3-48, taking his tally to 58 for the season. The Pakistani professional bids farewell to the club following the game as a call-up for the Pakistan ‘A’ squad tour to Sri Lanka rules him out for professional duties for the season.

In reply, Tom Boulton’s (36) gritty knock showed the determination required but lacked support as his side crumbled from 70-2 to 113 all out.

 

Checkley were back to winning ways in their three-wicket victory over Kidsgrove.

Iain Carr (5-62) and Jason Brown (4-56) did the damage for Checkley as they dismissed the visitors for 136, Dave Leese top scoring with 32.

Kidsgrove’s Mukesh Sharma (4-35) and Tom Lench (3-15) created a nervy finish at 107-7 but Michael Allen and Adam Hewitt both hit an unbeaten 14 as they knocked off the runs with 47 overs gone.

 

Weston’s Michael Alexander hit 102 as his side top Division Two with a win over Wedgwood & Stanfields.

Alexander’s 94-ball innings contained 15 fours and two maximums as Weston posted 195. Gareth Lello took an excellent 7-53 in his 11-over spell.

In reply, Wedgwood’s Jamie Cullerton knock of 62 was the only resistance as Weston’s Chris Barratt (4-30) and Hassan-ul-Qasim  Haleem (3-20) as they were dismissed for 135.

 

Crewe beat promotion-hopefuls Alsager by 16 runs.

Crewe batted first posting 149, with Mark Hurst hitting a classy 77 despite excellent bowling from Richard Cooper (4-43) and Chris Hampshire (4=18).

In Alsager’s reply only Andy Watkins (28) and Gareth Rowe (29) were the contributors but Yasser Tariq’s 5-47 was enough to deny Alsager the win as they eventually fell for 133.

 

Silverdale narrowly edged a one-wicket victory over Moddershall ‘A’.

Glynn Moore bowled unchanged to take 6-64 as Moddershall stumbled to 132-8 with Phil Hawkins scoring 33.

And in reply, it was Mitchell Stokes’s crucial 54 with the bat that took Silverdale to 120-4. Ijaz Ahmed took 5-26 as Silverdale were reduced to 129-9 before Zoltan Toth hitting the winning runs.

 

Meakins’s winning streak came to an abrupt end as they lost by one wicket to Newcastle & Hartshill.

Robert Walker (3-7) and Liam Williams (3-17) helped to skittle Meakins for 76 with Matthew Redican (33 not out) helping them recover from 15-6 with his 113-ball innings.

And Meakins looked to have grasped victory after leaving Newcastle reeling at 55-9 but last pair Jonathan Gidman (12 not out) and Jonathon Malpass (seven not out) kept a cool head to ease them to victory. Sam Nixon (5-19) was the pick of the Meakins attack.

 

DIVISION THREE

The Little Gym Division Three tightened this week after all the top three sides lost.

Kevin Cockerton’s 7-50 helped Endon bowl Bignall End out for 113, chasing 167.

Endon also had Neil Gilbert to thank as he hit a gutsy 62 with the bat, with Bignall End’s Matthew Saive (6-58) helping to restrict the home side.

The 25-point win leaves Endon well clear of the relegation places.

 

And Bagnall also tasted defeat to bottom of the table Porthill Park ‘A’.

Matthew Lowe (4-26) and Matt Farr (4-26) helped to dismiss Bagnall for 72 and it could have been worse if it wasn’t for Matthew Brazier quickfire 28, as he rescued them from 31-8.

Bagnall battled hard and took the game to a knife-edge through Kashif Daud (6-34) but Lowe hit the winning runs to seal the one-wicket win.

 

Ata-ur Rehman’s bat and ball performance helped Hem Heath/ Forsbrook to a win over Eccleshall.

Hem Heath/ Forsbrook posted 163 thanks to Rehman’s 51 and Dan Reed’s unbeaten 33.

Rehman was again in the action with his 5-51 alongside Aaron Barrow (4-41) as Eccleshall were dismissed for 134.

 

Stone SP held on for a losing draw against Oakamoor.

Oakamoor were indebted to Muhammad Ayub’s unbeaten 131 with support from Tom Sherratt (37) and Jonathan Wood (32) in their total of 235-5 declared.

Ayub then contributed with the ball taking 4-28 from his 21-over spell but stubborn knocks from Adrian Butters (60), Joseph Smith (37) and Nicholas Cooper (38) as Stone finished on 191-8.

 

Meir Heath/Fenton’s Phil Hall claimed 8-71 as he helped to restrict Wootton to 210.

And Chris Jenkins hit 104 in reply but lacked support from others as they had to settle for a losing draw, with their innings closing on 187-8.

Solid knocks from Wootton’s James Broadway (42), Alister Little (45) and Simon Barker (39) helped to post their total of 210.

 

Hanford recorded a 48-run win over third-placed Woore.

Roger Davis (84) was the mainstay of the innings with good knocks from Ian Davies (39) and Mark Haggerty (27) in their total of 183.

Woore’s Dan O’Callaghan was the pick of the bowlers claiming 5-29.

In reply, Shanker Gunalan hit 54 but others made starts but couldn’t go on as Hanford took regular wickets through Mike Coxon (6-74), as they finished on 135.

Premier Division

Barlaston have gone top of the Waterworld Premier Division after a two wicket win over Stone.
Mark Stanyer’s 6-51 from his 21 overs helped to dismiss Stone for 152.
In reply, Jonathan McCredie’s 4-33 couldn’t stop Barlaston knocking off the total, with Niroshan Bandaratilleke top scoring on 46.

Burslem held on for a losing draw at Porthill Park. A superb 153 from Porthill’s professional Saeed Anwar helped them post 244-8 declared.
In reply, Burslem batted 55 overs for a meer 123-9, with Mark Bengry (4-38) and Anwar (4-41) doing the damage.

Wood Lane move second after a win batting first against Hem Heath. Matthew Hagan’s 34 not out and Jeff Maynard’s 32 helped post a respectable 181-8, Daniel Milligan taking 3-59 for Hem Heath.
Hem Heath were coasting to a second win with professional Qaiser Abbas (53), Brian Sims (26) and Lee Ridgway (30) but Ashar Zaidi’s 4-13 off ten overs put the game to bed.

Dan Hancock’s 82 not out made sure Little Stoke posted 176-6 against Knypersley.
And Knypersley collapsed in reply, falling for 126, with Daniel Colclough taking 4-24.

Audley notched their first win of the season at Elworth.
Roger Sillence (67) and Michael Longmore (51) helped Audley to 202-7 before bowling Elworth out for 173.
David Toft top scored on 44 but Craig Barker (3-17) and Thomas Oakes (3-49) put the game to bed.

Worcestershire’s Mohammed Arif helped Moddershall bowl Longton out for 124, taking 6-33.
Arif also scored 35 as Moddershall knocked off the total to win by four wickets, Hareesh Reddy also scoring 26 not out.
Will Purser took 4-37 for Longton but his efforts were in vain.

Division One

Leek go top of the JSW Insurance Division One thanks to Greg Willott’s 7-27.
Leek were dismissed for 203 with Shaun Rashid claiming 5-43 for Cheadle, but Willott’s haul bowled Cheadle out for 77.

Wayne Dowling’s 63 helped Betley hit 170-9 against Norton.
And they finished off the job with excellent bowling display, Adrian Butler taking 5-34 as Norton slumped to 117 all out.

Whitmore beat Blythe by 100 runs. A mammoth stand of 261 between Irfan Fazil (105) and Justin Mould (135 not out) helped Whitmore to 301-2.
Fazil then took 4-65 as Whitmore bowled Norton out for 201, with under three overs remaining.

Leycett held on for the losing draw against Meir Heath. Phil Stevens (57) and Adam Birch (40) ensured Meir Heath 176-8.
Richard White bowled throughout the innings to claim 5-62.
Leycett finished their innings on 127-9, Tas Hussain hitting 46.

Sandyford beat Stafford by 78 runs. Sandyford hit 212 with Stephan Shermitt’s 42 and Andrew Barnett’s 35 the main contributors.
Barnett then took 4-34 as they bowled Stafford out for 134, Mark Smallman top scoring for Stafford on 43.

Oulton professional Pradeep Jayaprakashdaran took 5-36 to help bowl Rode Park & Lawton out for 114.
And Oulton’s batsmen made light work of the chase, with all the top four contributing to reach the total in the 16th over, claiming an eight-wicket win.

Division Two

Checkley had a comfortable seven-wicket win against Meakins to go top of the ASC Financial Management Division Two.
Meakins’s professional Ranil Dhammika hit 44 as they hit 139. But an unbeaten 60 from Iain Carr helped Checkley to knock of the total in the 35th over.

Lee Slater’s 8-80 helped Ashcombe Park bowl Silverdale out for 186.
And David Profitt’s unbeaten 97 made sure his side chased down the total, despite being 113-8 at one point.

Caverswall beat Crewe by one wicket. Crewe’s Yasser Tariq carried his bat to finish on 99 not out. He was ably supported by Michael Agard (59).
Asim Naseer took 5-70 for Crewe but it was in vain as Joshua Edge (48), Owen Price (41) and last man Dave Allen (15 not out) helped steer Caverswall over the line.

Simon Dyer’s 7-19 changed the game as Alsager bowled Newcastle & Hartshill for 106.
Newcastle were chasing 187 after Paul Hampshire’s 62 ensured Alsager posted a competitive total.

Weston’s batsmen performed again allowing them to hit 250-5. Raj Kumar hit an unbeaten 90 and Michael Alexander (69) with Weston declaring after 53 overs.
But they couldnt bowl Kidsgrove out as David Moors’s stubborn 72 not out from 191 balls ensured his side a losing draw.

Division Three

Bignall End stay top of the Little Gym Division Three with a 67-run victory over Meir Heath/Fenton.
Kim Barnett’s 58 helped Bignall End to 181-7 declared, and Simon Howle’s 5-38 polished off a clinical Bignall End performance as they dismissed Meir Heath/Fenton for 114.

Bagnall beat Hanford by two wickets. Hanford hit 143 with Ashley Forrester top scoring on 51.
Four wickets a piece from Kashif Daud (4-68) and Alex Ravenscroft (4-45) did the damage for Bagnall.
In reply, Simon Gordon’s 85 made a massive difference as they creep over the victory line.

Woore bowled Oakamoor out for 104, with Kenvin and Bailey taking 5-30 and 5-32 respectively.
In reply, Woore’s Ponnudarai hit 53 not out to complete the win for his side as they won by six wickets.

Eccleshall chased Porthill Park ‘A’s total of 166, to win by two wickets.
Four wickets from Richie Gallichan (4-55) and Nathan Lightfoot (4-48) helped bowl Porthill out in the 53rd over.
Gallichan performed with bat and bowl as he hit an unbeaten 72 to see his side over the winning line.

Stone SP beat Wootton by four wickets after chasing down a target of 254.
Clem Mellor hit 72 and Simon Barker (79 not out) as Wootton delcared with an over spare.
But 65 from Stone SP’s Dylan Davies and Asim Zaka’s 63 not out hit the runs in the penultimate over.

Hem Heath/Forsbrook won their first game of the season. Four wickets from professional Ataur Rehman (4-48) and Mark Sanders (4-48) helped bowl Endon out for 140.
Kevin Cockerton (42) and Daniel Bailey (47) were the main contributors for Endon.
And HH/Forsbrook reached the total eight wickets down with Rehman (38) and Dean Baxter (37 not out) smashing some quick runs, reaching the total in the 35th over.
