PREMIER DIVISION

Burslem closed the gap on Little Stoke at the top of the Waterworld Premier Division after a remarkable comeback against strugglers Hem Heath. Burslem batted first posting 200-6 with Khalid Malik (69) and Alex Bailey (45 not out) the main contributors. In reply, Hem Heath were 161-2 thanks to Qasier Abbas (101) and Lee Ridgway (53) but once the latter was stumped off the bowling of Michael Brown (3-40) it sparked an unbelievable collapse. The next eight wickets fell for 16 runs with Brown and Samiullah Khan (7-73) ripping through the Hem Heath line-up.

Little Stoke’s Richard Adams carried his bat to steer his side to victory over Elworth. Adams (79 not out), Shabir Ahmed (34) and Josh Lowndes (30 not out) helped to chase the target of 196 down in the 56th over. Earlier, young leg-spinner Greg Massingham claimed 6-25 to help dismiss Elworth with Robert Beech top scoring with 50.

Barlaston beat Moddershall in a low-scoring affair. Four wickets apiece from Tom Taylor (4-18) and Niroshan Bandaratilleke (4-29) helped to bowl Moddershall out for 113. And the chase was in doubt until Ramzan Mohammed came in at number eight to hit a quickfire 46 not out to keep his side in second spot in the league.

Knypersley scraped home against Audley two record a two-wicket win. Audley posted 156-9 with skipper Dave Fairbanks top scoring on 44. Knypersley’s professional Nayyer Abbas was the pick of the attack with returns of 5-43. Audley took regular wickets in reply but determined knocks from Dan Ball (38) and Tim Goodwin (28) down the order made sure of the win after 57 overs.

Longton dealt Porthill Park a hefty blow as they cruised to a 10-wicket win. Porthill were dismissed for 164 mainly due to superb bowling from Will Purser (6-40). Saeed Anwar top scored for Porthill with 27. In reply, Longton’s James Towle (72 not out) and Pete Wilshaw (82 not out) smashed their way to victory in the 33rd over.

Wood Lane had to settle for a winning draw against Stone, after the latter finished nine runs short of their target. Wood Lane hit 249 all out with half centuries from Daniel Brierley (81) and Matt Hagan (53). Jeff Maynard also chipped in with an unbeaten 41. Matt Stupples was the pick of the Stone attack claiming 6-75. Stone looked to have the chase in their grasp as Richard Harvey (42), Phil Cheadle (89) and Asim Zaka (39) were at the crease. But Ashar Zaidi (5-55) put a stranglehold on the chase and the game ended up with Stone’s last pair saving the game.

DIVISION ONE

Leek had a winning draw over Sandyford to bridge a 48-point gap between the sides at the top of the JSW Insurance Division One. Mohammad Hussain hit an unbeaten 104 in Leek’s innings of 205-7. And Greg Willott took 5-39 in reply, but Sandyford’s Jonathan Barnett hit a gritty 44 as they settled for the losing draw to finish on 164-7.

Meir Heath moved back into second spot after a 25-point win over Oulton. Adam Birch (131 not out) and Iftikhar Asghar (58 not out) took Meir Heath to a competitive 222-3. And the Meir Heath bowlers worked as a unit sharing the wickets around to dismiss Oulton for 181, with professional Pradeep Jayaprakashdaran top scoring on 63.

Cheadle managed to bowl Stafford out to claim the points in their clash. Cheadle posted 251-6 declared with half centuries from Andrew Shaw (78) and Matthew Coxon (56). And the chase was never really on as Cheadle took regular wickets through Chris Barker (4-54) and Simon Plant (4-39), dismissing Stafford for  149.

Blythe’s Haydon Simcock hit an unbeaten 81 as he steered his side to an eight-wicket win over Rode Park & Lawton. Rode Park were dismissed for 165 with Jonathan Gallimore hitting 33. Imranullah Aslam was the danger man with the ball taking 5-31. Blythe made short work of the chase with Simcock, Martin Bailey (31) and Tom Simcock (24 not out) to reach the total in the 38th over .

Betley scraped home in game where only 165 runs were scored. Leycett were asked to bat first and were dismissed for 82 with Adrian Butler (4-7), Darren Snape (2-2) and James Austin (3-45) doing the damage. And the run chase was in doubt at 65-7 but Tom Blackwood kept a cool head to hit 27 not out and send his side to a three-wicket win. Muhammad Khalil the pick of the attack with 5-41.

Norton held on for a losing draw against Whitmore. Whitmore batted first and hit 216 with Mudassar Butt (56) and Justin Mould (64) the main contributors. Alex Graham (4-62) and Ian Reynolds (5-56) did the damage for Norton with the ball. Simon Kellett top scored for Norton in reply with 68 but lacked support as they finished on 176-9.

DIVISION TWO

Weston cling onto top spot in the ASC Financial Management Division Two despite a shock defeat to relegation strugglers Moddershall ‘A’. Moddershall ‘A’ batted first and posted a commanding 263-8 with all the top order contributing, Ijaz Ahmed top scoring with 52. Ahmed then claimed 4-35 as Weston were dismissed for 229, despite Phil Stockton’s best efforts as he was left stranded on 100 not out.

Checkley’s Nick Hunt hit an unbeaten 133 as his side chased down Newcastle & Hartshill’s total of 221-8 for the loss of only two wickets. Hunt received support from Andy Carr (46) as the pair put on 151 for the first wicket. Earlier, Hunt took 4-71 to restrict Newcastle as Andy Elliot top scored with 87.

Ashcombe Park’s Mohammad Junaid Khan took match-winning figures of 6-64 as they bowled Alsager out for 131. It had looked a lot worse for Alsager though at 57-8 until Gareth Rowe (69 not out) took his side to a respectable total. Ashcombe Park chased the total down comfortably through Khan (33) and David Proffitt (30 not out) to complete the five-wicket win.

Meakins recorded a comfortable seven-wicket win over Crewe. Matthew Redican took 4-33 as they dismissed Crewe for 108, with opener Ahsan Tariq stranded on 72 not out. Meakins made no doubt of the chase through Sam Nixon (33) and Ranil Dhammika (24) as they knocked of the total in the 26th over.

Caverswall claimed a 25-point win after Silverdale were dismissed 11 runs shy of the target. Caverswall posted 206-9 with Robert King top scoring on 85. Silverdale’s Glynn Moore (4-65) and Scoot Degg (4-37) spearheaded their attack with the ball. In reply, Mitchell Stokes hit a quickfire 53 with knocks from Matt Baker (34) and Matt Myatt (30) but they were dismissed in the 48th over.

Kidsgrove’s Mukresh Sharma had a match-winning bat and ball performance to help them to a three-wicket win over Wedgwood & Stanfields. Sharma claimed 6-58 in Wedgwood’s innings of 170 all out and then hit an unbeaten 84 as Kidsgrove reached the total in the 24th over.

DIVISION THREE

Kim Barnett’s 95 helped Bignall End to victory over Hem Heath/ Forsbrook and keeps them at the top of the Little Gym Division Three. Hem Heath/Forsbrook batted first and hit 192 thanks to Darren Sanders’s 69 and an unbeaten 46 from 15-year-old Ben Warrender. Matthew Saive (4-66) and Simon Howle (4-45) did the damage for Bignall End. Barnett’s knock however secured the win alongside 31 apiece for Harry Jones and Gareth Moulton.

Bagnall’s victory over Eccleshall has created a 36-point gap for the top two places in Division Three. Eccleshall hit 191 all out thanks to Robert Lakin’s 103. Kashif Daud was the pick of the attack with 7-51. And Bagnall’s run chase was never certain as Richie Gallichan (4-64) bowled unchanged. It needed Matt Brazier’s unbeaten 32 alongside 30 not out from Anthony Griffiths to secure the two-wicket win.

Endon recorded a five-wicket win over Meir Heath/Fenton. Anthony Bunn’s 73 and an unbeaten 67 from Kevin Cockerton ensured that they reached Meir Heath/Fenton’s target of 187 in the 43rd over. Earlier, Cockerton claimed 3-40 as Shahid Mahmood (38), Paul Farmer (28) and Steve Bishop (26) helped them to a competitive total.

Woore have nipped into third place after Eccleshall’s defeat after beating Porthill Park ‘A’ by five wickets. Porthill hit 211 with Greg Bailey hitting 51 and Matthew Bailey (32) chipping in. Andrew Kenvyn starred with the ball taking 4-74. But Woore’s Ramesh Gunalan showed his class, smashing 15 fours in his knock of 81. He received welcome support from fellow opener Dan O’Callaghan (56) and Shanker Gunalan (25) as they reached the total in the 48th over.

Oakamoor had to settle for a winning draw against Wootton. Oakamoor posted 215-7 with half centuries from Muhammad Ayub (54) and Matthew Carnwell (55 not out). Wootton looked on course for the win with Thomas Leese (55) and Luke Woodcock (84 not out) at the crease but Edward Brookes (3-38) took quick wickets to stun Wootton who eventually finished on 198-8.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Barlaston were beaten by a superb Wood Lane run chase as Little Stoke now lead the charge at the top of the Waterworld Premier Division. Muhammad Khan was the mianstay of the Barlaston innings hitting a brilliant 159 with support from Ben Grange (63) in their total of 290-8. Wood Lane looked to be reeling at 85-3, but Ashar Zaidi (96) and Richard Hassall (97 not out) steered Wood Lane home in the 49th over for the loss of only four wickets.

Little Stoke won in similar fashion, chasing down Stone’s target of 174. Phil Cheadle (64) and Asim Zaka (56) put on 124 for the fourth wicket but Little Stoke’s Shabir Ahmed took excellent returns of 5-41 to help restrict the visitors. Little Stoke’s openers John Hancock (43) and Richard Adams (40) gave them a great start before Australian Michael Tudehope stemmed the flow of runs in his 20-over spell claiming 4-31. Little Stoke got over the line thanks to Andrew Bryan’s unbeaten 37 with two overs spare.

Ben McGuire’s 69 helped Knypersley to beat Longton. Chasing 201, McGuire and Paul Goodwin (39) ensured they reached the target for the loss of six wickets in the 51st over. Earlier, Nayyer Abbas’s 7-59 helped to spin his way through Longton’s batters with only Pete Wilshaw (48) and Dave Edwards (30 not out) providing any real resistance.

In the clash of the bottom two sides, Hem Heath had to settle for a winning draw against Elworth. Lee Ridgway’s 70 helped his side post a competitive 202 as Elworth’s Chris Winter claimed 5-58. In reply, Elworth settled for the draw after the loss of early wickets. Muhammad Jahangir (3-26) and Daniel Milligan (4-56) the pick of the Hem Heath attack as Elworth closed on 167-8.

Michael Brown’s 5-18 helped Burslem to bowl Moddershall out for 111. Brown had good support with the ball from Samuillah Khan (3-39). And the run chase was completed comfortably with Khalid Malik (51 not out) and Khan (30 not out) reaching the total after 28 overs.

Audley’s Sean Price hit 94 as he and Michael Longmore (48) have a match-winning stand of 140 in reply to Porthill Park’s 187-6. Earlier, Porthill’s Saeed Anwar hit 60 alongside David Cotton’s unbeaten 40.

DIVISION ONE

Leek have created a 42-point gap at the summit of the JSW Insurance Division One after another win over Rode Park & Lawton. Three centuries from Alex Mellor (109), Mohammad Hussain (141) and Nottinghamshire’s Alex Hales (112 not out off 40 balls) allowed Leek to declare on 376-3 after 40.4 overs. And Rode Park eventually bowed out for 181 with Hussain claiming 5-49. Amal Athulathmudali (89) and Ian Harding (43) the only conributors.

Sandyford moved up to joint-second after a 25-point win over Meir Heath.Andrew Barnett’s 5-44 helped to bowl Meir Heath out for 140, chasing 188-7.Mark Leese (65) and Sohail Rauf (70) had helped Sandyford to a competitive total, despite excellent bowling from Iftikhar Asghar (6-52).

Oulton completed a three-wicket win over Leycett.  Leycett posted 202-8 with Tas Hussain top scoring with an unbeaten 69. But Melvyn Dawson’s 76 and a further 58 from Pradeep Jayaprakashdaran helped to steer Oulton home in the 54th over. Muhammad Khalil was the pick of the Leycett attack taking 4-63.

Norton had to settle for a winning draw against Stafford. Norton hit 257-6 with half centuries from Matt Rogalski (50), Alex Graham (60) and Simon Kellett (56 not out). Stafford were on course for the chase through Oliver Stark (56) and Guy Seaton (78 not out) but couldn’t find support from others as they closed on 200-7.

Whitmore recorded a six-wicket win at the hands of Cheadle. Mudassar Butt’s unbeaten 92 helped Whitmore to the win in the 30th over. Earlier, Sibtain Taylor claimed 5-35 to bowl Cheadle out for 151, with David Wheeldon top scoring with 59.

Blythe’s Azher Shafique hit 92 as they knocked off Betley target of 217-8. Shafique was supported bu Dan Hammond (43 not out) as they won in the 43rd over. In Betley’s innings, Richard Bebbington hit a classy 88 alongside Chris Henderson (50). Craig Grimley finished with good figures of 4-28.

DIVISION TWO

Weston have leapfrogged Checkley at the top of the ASC Financial Managemen Divsion Two. Michael Alexander lead from the front with 98 alongside Martin Dawson’s 53 in Weston’s score of 235. Ashcombe Park professional Mohammad Junaid Khan took his tally to 34 wickets with 5-70. And Phil Stockton’s 6-47 shell-shocked Ashcombe Park and they were rolled for 104.

Caverswall took a well deserved winning draw out of their clash with second-placed Checkley. Robert King hit 122 in Caverswall’s total of 241-7 with the Checkley bowlers sharing the wickets around. And Checkley’s chase started well through Gareth Davies (90) and Nick Hunt (36) until Marlon Martin (6-94) tore through the middle order as Checkley held on in the end to finish on 208-8.

Crewe completed a four-wicket win over Kidsgrove. Kimany Gregoire (4-47) and Nolan McKenzie (3-34) helped to dismiss Kidsgrove for 125. And Crewe’s Sukhpreet Singh’s unbeaten 43 made sure of the win in the 35th over.

Meakins dished out a commanding win at the hands of Wedgwood & Stanfields. Ranil Dhammika (4-16) and Simon Baker (3-38) tore through the Wedgwood line-up to dismiss them for 129. And the Meakins batsmen took no time to knock off the runs, reaching the total after 21 overs with Sujith Vidange hitting an unbeaten 55 off 37 balls.

Newcastle & Hartshill recorded a well needed win over fellow strugglers Moddershall ‘A’. Moddershall ‘A’ batted first and were dismissed for 94 with Rejith Kumaran claiming 3-16 and two wickets apiece for Robert Walker (2-26) and James Hagan (2-18). Simon Wood steered the run chase almost to the end, hitting 58 as his side completed the seven-wicket win in the 27th over.

Paul Pickford 69 helped Alsager to victory over Silverdale. Chasing 165, Pickford received help from Chris Hampshire (25) and Richard Cooper (21 not out) to complete the five-wicket win. Earlier, Mitchell Stokes top scored for Silverdale with 45 with Paul Newnes the pick of the Alsager attack taking 4-27.

DIVISION THREE

Bignall End capitalised on a Bagnall defeat to regain top spot in the Little Gym Division Three. Kim Barnett carried his bat to finish on 114 in Bignall End’s score of 254-4 declared. And Matthew Saive did the job with the ball, claming 5-44 to help dismiss Porthill Park ‘A’ for 152.

Wootton won only their second game of the season in a shock two-wicket win over Bagnall. James Carr (6-41) tore through Bagnall’s top order reducing them to 68-7. Anthony Griffiths (35) provided some resistance as Bagnall were bowled out for 129. And the game was in the balance at 50-5 in Wootton’s reply with Kashif Daud (3-58) and Rob Bennett (4-30) doing the damage. But Simon Barker (53 not out) kept a cool head with Matt Richardson (24 not out) to complete the win.

Ian Davies’s 70 for Hanford pulled them out of the drop zone for their first win of the season over Meir Heath/Fenton. Chasing 162, Davies and Roger Davis (39) made sure of the six-wicket win in the 34th over. Earlier, Paul Farmer hit 61 for Meir Heath/Fenton with Josh Myatt unbeaten on 47.

Oakamoor’s Will Leeson took his best ever figures of 7-33 to help bowl Hem Heath/Forsbrook out for 126. Only Ataur Rehman hit substnatial runs in his knock of 39. In Oakamoor’s reply they found themselves 16-2 after early wickets but professional Muhammad Ayub (75 not out) and Tom Sherratt (35 not out) steered Oakamoor to victory.

Stone SP cruised to a six-wicket win over Endon. Dylan Davies (64) and an unbeaten 50 from Nicholas Cooper helped to knock off the target of 151 in the 30th over. Earlier, Andrew Slee took 4-34 as Endon lost their last six wickets for 40 runs with Phil Rowley top scoring on 48.

Eccleshall’s Australian Richie Gallichan yet again starred with bat and ball as his side had to settle for a losing draw against Woore. Gallichan claimed 8-70 as Woore hit 258 thanks to Ramesh Gunalan (86) and Dan O’Callghan (75). He then finished unbeaten on 100 as Eccleshall closed on 224-7. Jonty Bailey was the pick of the Woore attack with returns of 4-43.

PREMIER DIVISION

Barlaston scraped over the winning line to regain their top position in the Waterworld Premier Division. Niroshan Bandaratilleke claimed excellent returns of 7-41 as they dismissed Porthill Park for 99, with Simon Cork top scoring for Porthill with 38. Barlaston reached the target for the loss of eight wickets, with Ben Cotton (3-35) and Saeed Anwar (3-36) thanks to a gritty 26 from Tom Taylor.

Hem Heath had to settle for a winning draw after Moddershall’s batsmen held firm. Hem Heath batted first and were reeling at 57-6 thanks to Asad Ali (3-71) and Chris Beech (3-36). But Stephen Atkinson (69 not out), Michael Brocklehurst (61) and Daniel Milligan (28) ensured Hem Heath posted a respectable 244-8. In reply, Hamza Siddique batted the majority of the innings to finish unbeaten on 71 with support from Chris Beech (35) and Robert Bagnall (30) as they didnt threaten the chase, finishing on 181-7.

Longton’s Australian Phil Adams hit an unbeaten 103 as they chased down Little Stoke’s target of 186. Longton were 100-6 but Adams received good support from Elliot Birks (30 not out) as they cruised to the four-wicket win. Earlier in Little Stoke’s innings Steve Pugh took 4-11 to tear through the latter order after Richard Adams (45) and Shabir Ahmed (48) had frustrated the Longton bowlers.

Burslem completed a four-wicket win over bottom placed Elworth. Three wickets apiece from Samiullah Khan (3-39), Michael Brown (3-45) and Khalid Malik (3-28) helped to dismiss the home side for 157. And Malik hit 45 in their reply to ease over the winning line in the 40th over. Wood Lane recorded a well needed win over Knypersley as they look to stay clear of the relegation spots. Knypersley batted first with Daniel Ball (58) and Ben McGuire (56) the main scorers. Off-spinner Richard Hassall (4-54) was the pick of the Wood Lane attack. And skipper Daniel Brierley stepped up to hit 60 as his side reached the total in the last over.

Roger Sillence’s all-round performance helped Audley to victory over Stone. Stone posted 216-8 with Sillence taking 4-76 and Stone’s Johnathan McCredie top scoring with 71. But Sillence wasn’t finished for the day, and hit a superb unbeaten 100 off 110 balls alongside David Fairbanks (56 not out) to steer Audley home after 46 overs.

DIVISION ONE

Leek remain top of the JSW Insurance Division One after a comfortable seven-wicket win over Blythe. Blythe were dismissed cheaply for 122 thanks to Greg Willott (4-29) and Colin Dearden (5-42). And Grant Denny’s unbeaten 61 off 39 balls alongside Mohammad Hussain (43) sealed the win in the 21st over.

Leycett’s Robert Heath took five wickets to give his side victory over Whitmore. Heath (5-35) helped to skittle Whitmore in reply for 124, chasing Leycett’s 165. Earlier, Navid-Ul-Khurram Kaleem hit 41 and Richard Walker finished unbeaten on 42 in their total.

Meir Heath’s Adam Birch claimed match-winning figures of 6-39 as they dismissed Cheadle for 131, chasing their target of 217-7. Birch was well supported by Iftikhar Asghar (3-25) as only Andrew Shaw (44) and Matthew Coxon (48) provided any resistance. Earlier, Billy Locker’s 109 alongside an assured 51 from Richard Stonier set the platform for a competitive Meir Heath total.

Oulton recorded a seven-wicket win over Stafford. Stafford batted first, hitting 195 thanks to Dave Foster’s 62. Shawn Hunt also dealt some lusty blows, scoring 34. In Oulton’s reply, all the top four scored in the 40’s to ensure the win after 32 overs.

Betley secured a win over Rode Park & Lawton. Betley posted 237-9 thanks to Richard Bebbington  (54), Chris Henderson (75) and Tom Blackwood (46). Rode Park’s Amal Athulathmudali took 4-57 and then hit 65 in their reply. But he couldn’t find support from others as Rode Park were dismissed for 183 with Daniel Butler (4-54) and Adrian Butler (4-42).

Sandyford  managed a winning draw against Norton. Sandyford posted 212-5 with professional Sohail Rauf (54) and Craig Leese (61) the main scorers. And Norton’s reply was thwarted early-on with wickets from Andrew Barnett (4-46) and Charlie Shrek (2-36). Simon Kellett hit 38 and Simon Davies finished on 18 not out as Norton held on for the draw.

DIVISION TWO

Moddershall  ‘A’s Ijaz Ahmed hit 166 but he couldn’t prevent their loss to ASC Financial Management leaders Checkley. Moddershall hit 257-7 with Nick Hunt the pick of the Checkley attack taking 4-69. But Checkley’s batsmen refused to roll over as scores of 49 from Hunt, Jason Brown’s unbeaten 54 alongside scores from all the top six ensured they crossed over the winning line in the 58th over.

Alsager came away with a winning draw in their clash with Kidsgrove. Alsager’s Paul Tibbetts claimed 4-45 as they reduced Kidsgrove to 187-9 despite
being 127-9. Colin Wilkinson (41 not out) and Alex Johnson (22 not out) helping them to hold out for the draw. Earlier, Simon Dyer top scored with 67 in Alsager’s 198-9 with good support from Andy Watkins (46).

Ashcombe Park’s professional Mohammad Junaid Khan performed with bat and ball to help Park to a win over Wedgwood & Stanfields. Ashcombe Park hit 279-5 with Khan scoring 103 and David Proffitt finishing unbeaten on 75. Khan then tore into Wedgwood’s top order claiming 5-31 with support from Lee Slater (3-36) as Wedgwood were skittled for 129.

Silverdale recorded a winning draw over  Meakins. Professional Farhaan Berhardien hit a classy 155 alongisde Mick Moore’s unbeaten 61 as Silverdale posted a commanding 306-4. But the game petered out with Meakins holding on for the losing draw on a good batting deck with Andrew Reed (50) and Simon Baker (42) using up the time at the crease as they finished on 168-7.

Caverswall managed to overhaul Newcastle & Hartshill as they completed a 54-run win. Caverswall hit 211-9 with Jake Edge (65) and Robert King (84) providing the
mainstay of the innings. Rejith Kumaran was the pick of the Newcastle attack taking 5-29. In reply, Joe Kettle hit 50 and Andrew Keates (39) but failed to receive support from others as they were dismissed for 157.

Weston’s batting line-up was on song again with Raj Kumar top scoring with 124. He received welcome support from Hassan-ul-Qasim Haleem (40) in their total of 235-7 declared. Crewe gave the chase a good go with Mark Hurst (51) top scoring. Haleem(3-30)took the early wickets though and dented Crewe’s hopes of a win, as they were eventually bowled out for 179.

DIVISION THREE

Bagnall stay top of the Little Gym Division Three despite a good all-round performance from Oakamoor professional Mohammad Ayub. Oakamoor batted first hitting 217 with Ayub (91) and 38 apiece from Will Leeson and Edward Brookes.But an assured 93 from Bagnall’s Simon Gordon in reply and 38 from Kashif Daud helped them to the four-wicket win in the 42nd over. Bignall End completed a comfortable seven-wicket win over Hanford. Hanford were dismissed for 167 thanks to Simon Howle’s 6-35. Ian Davies top scored for Hanford with 83. But Kim Barnett (60) and Matthew Burgess (71) made sure of the chase to secure the win in the 26th over.

Stone SP’s Sean Bowers claimed match-winning figures of 7-48 as they dismissed Eccleshall for 150 chasing 174. Nicholas Cooper hit 62 in Stone SP’s 174 as Eccleshall’s Australian Richie Gallichan claimed 5-60. And
Eccleshall got off to a strong start through Tom Hibbert (40) and Jack Boulton (56) until Bowers set about ripping through the heart of their line-up.

Hem Heath/Forsbrook recorded a seven-wicket win over Wootton. Wootton batted first and were dismissed for 139 with Ata ur Rehman (4-49) and Warren Aubury (3-35) doing the damage. Ian Moston (48) and Rehman (45) made sure of the chase though as they reached the total in the 41st over. Endon completed their second win in as many weeks at the hands of Porthill Park ‘A’. Kevin Cockerton (3-33) and Michael Dawson (3-23) did the damage for Endon as Porthill were dismissed for 130. Endon’s opener Anthony Bunn hit 59  to ensure the win and received good support from 28 from Phil Rowley, as they reached the total in the 36th over.

Woore recorded a winning draw over Meir Heath/Fenton. Woore hit 297-5 thanks to Dan O’Callaghan (91) and Harry Oliver (102). Piradeban Ponnudarai also hit a quickfire 42 off 27 balls. But Woore couldn’t bowl Meir Heath/Fenton out as they finished on 162-6 with Chris Mellor unbeaten on 79.
